Mission, Goals and Objectives

The Mission of the Service is:

to promote an environment in which young people can grow
and participate successfully in the life of their community.

The Goals of the Service are:

To provide holistic and integrated services to young people
and their families;

To provide a range of responses to young people
and their families, to include:

prevention, therapeutic intervention and support services
within a framework of collaboration and participation.

The Objectives of the Service are:

To assist young people to improve their relationships with their families,
existing support networks and broader community;

To assist young people and their families to access a range of resources,
services and supports that will promote the personal growth and development
of young people and / or their families;

To provide a range of responses to young people and their families
which enhance their existing strengths;

To provide a range of programs for young people
that are designed to meet their diverse needs;

To provide support to young people which promotes the development
of their self-esteem, responsibility and independence;

To actively promote a positive image of young people, and
to challenge the structural issues and negative stereotypes
faced by young people
through lobbying, advocacy and community development.
